During the final two races of the Formula One season, Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has stated that he would be racing with 2023 in mind. He made this announcement on Wednesday.
The following competition will take place this next weekend at Interlagos in Brazil, while the championship race will take place on November 20 in Abu Dhabi.
This season, Leclerc, who is 25 years old, has earned a total of 10 podium finishes and three victories. He is currently in third place in the championship, behind the Red Bulls driven by Max Verstappen, the reigning champion, and Sergio Perez, the current leader.
When Leclerc was asked during a media session that took place in Sao Paulo if he was looking forward to pushing Perez for second place in the drivers title, he responded by saying, “My mind is more focused on next year.”
“It is difficult to anticipate exactly what will take place in the following year, and we will not continue to concentrate on other things. Leclerc stated, “I think it is clear for us as a team which areas we need to improve, and I think it is clear to everyone else.” “That is going to be our primary emphasis, along with improving as a team. Leclerc added that he and Ferrari will do “everything to try and obtain the best results possible for the last two races.” Leclerc is now five points behind Perez in the standings.

In the constructors’ championship, Ferrari sits in second place, 209 points behind Red Bull, which is the current champion, and 40 points ahead of Mercedes.
